Advanced Basement Systems Succeeding in slow economy

With the economy at a low, many home improvement and repair contractors are finding themselves without work, out of business, and struggling for every penny: not so for Advanced Basement Systems. (ABS)
The 12-year old Ontario basement waterproofing company and crawl space repair contractor service has been powering through the slow economy, with wealth, recognition, and a growing business to show for it.
Their "Wow Service" customer care policy is at the heart of their success. Julie and Martin Bates, co-owners of ABS, have implemented a company-wide policy that workers, whether they're dealing with customers or coworkers, shall serve them to the best of their ability and leave them saying "WOW!" Additionally, ABS has sent his staff to a battery of current training sessions to help keep them up to date on topics such as best practices for product installation, customer service, and business management.
The program has really taken off. Since its implementation last year, the Bates' have seen an increase in customers referring and recommending ABS as a trusted, reliable company.
Because of this, ABS has grown to a staff of 25 this year and has won the "Visionary Award" from the Foundation Supportworks National Contractor Network.
They've also moved up the tanks in the International 325-dealer Basement Systems top dealer awards, passing 16 dealerships in one year to move from the network's 49th largest dealership to its 33rd.
