The key to a great basement waterproofing system is to install a reliable sump pump system in your home. We recommend installing a cast-iron system as well as a separate battery backup system for power outages. We also recommend installing a secondary sump pump to help the main one during heavy, overwhelming water volumes, and to take over should your primary pump fail.
Your local Basement Systems Dealer is a specialist in the basement waterproofing business, and can consult with you on a system that will be ideal for your home. Each of our certified dealers offers free sump pump system installation quotes for homeowners in their area. Basement Systems Dealers offer four different sump pump systems to homeowners interested in one of our warrantied systems. Combined with our other award-winning basement products, they're exactly what you need to transform your wet basement into an additional floor of dry, usable space.
We offer our customers the following four sump pump systems:
As our most powerful and reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System is the most advanced sump pump system in the world!
This system consists of a 1/3 horsepower cast-iron primary sump pump, a ½ horsepower secondary sump pump, and an UltraSump battery backup system (see below for details).
Under normal conditions, the primary pump is enough to keep the basement dry. However, if the primary pump is overwhelmed or it fails, the secondary sump pump is ready to go. If there is a power outage, the UltraSump turns on, keeping your basement dry.

Another popular option for basement waterproofing is our award-winning SuperSump Sump Pump.
This includes a single 1/3 horsepower cast-iron Zoeller sump pump system, capable of pumping out 2,500 gallons of water each hour. You may also opt to upgrade to our ½ horsepower model, which pumps out up to 3,900 gallons per hour.
The SuperSump System is best when working alongside an UltraSump Battery Backup System. The SuperSump can operate during normal conditions, while the UltraSump stands by in case of power outages or sump pump failure.

Sump pump systems contain mechanical moving parts, and sooner or later, these parts are going to break down. When this happens, a sump pump system with no backup will fail, and your basement will flood.
The UltraSump System protects you from these failures, giving you a second line of defense should your primary pump system fail.
And with its battery powered design, it can also turn on if there is a power outage, blown fuse, or if someone in the home simply unplugs the sump pump and forgets to plug it back in. It's a must have for anyone with a sump system!

While you might not access your crawl space often or use it for storage, it is still important to ensure that the space is dry and free of standing water. Flooding in crawl spaces can lead to problems with mold, damaged floor joists, and even structural issues in your home.
The SuperSump system is calibrated specifically for waterproofing crawl spaces, with a smaller liner that allows for installation in areas with less head room.
Like our SuperSump, the SmartSump can be equipped with either a 1/3 or ½ horsepower cast-iron Zoeller sump pump -- providing powerful protection for your home.

At Basement Systems, we've seen it all when it comes to wet basements -- the good, the best, the bad, and the ugly. And we can confidently say that Zoeller Pumps are the best around!
That's why we proudly install only Zoeller pumps in each of our sump pump systems -- they're the only ones we trust to help us uphold our written lifetime warranty!
More about Zoeller Sump Pumps
The sump pump systems provided by our certified Basement Systems dealers are much more than the simple "pump in a bucket" provided by some other professionals.
Each sump pump system includes a durable sump pump liner, complete with a sump pump stand that keeps your system out of the dirt and debris that may settle on the bottom.
The airtight sump pump lid on each of our systems includes a unique "ball and cup" floor drain, which can pump away water in the event of a plumbing failure. Rubber grommets in the lid surround each wire and pipe passing through the liner, providing sound dampening and maintaining the seal on your lid.
Each system is also installed with a WaterWatch Sump Pump Alarm System, which sounds off to alert you in the event of a pump failure. Our advanced alarm system can also be connected to some home alarm systems, so you get a phone call if the alarm sounds and you're not home.
Each pump discharge line is also installed with an IceGuard® Discharge Line Protection -- a grated pipe attachment that protects your sump pump from backing up do to a frozen or clogged discharge line.
